Monitoring and emails

Scheduled scans, the summary email after each report, and the yearly cleanup.

Scheduled scans

With monitoring, Audsey scans your site on a schedule: monthly or quarterly, on the day of the month you choose. Your site page shows the Next scan date.

Each scan covers the same pages, screen sizes and interactive states as your baseline, with the same pinned engines, so the results are comparable. New pages in your sitemap are picked up and listed as page changes.

Scans run from our servers and load your pages like a visitor would. They don’t log in, submit real forms or change anything on your site.

Before you see it

We review each scan before publishing it to you. If something looks wrong (your site was down, say, or a cookie banner covered the page) we fix the scan rather than send you a misleading report.

The summary email

When a report is published, everyone on your account’s recipient list gets a short email:

  • the Accessibility index and how it moved since the last report
  • issues fixed, remaining and new
  • critical and serious issue counts
  • the top three things to look at, in plain words
  • a link to the full report in the portal

To add or remove recipients, contact us.

The yearly cleanup

Once a year, in the month we agree, we repeat the full audit, including keyboard and screen reader testing, fix what’s built up, and publish a fresh report and conformance report. Scans keep watch through the year; the cleanup makes sure nothing slips through.

When something new breaks

A new error in a monitoring report comes with its fix plan entry: what’s wrong, where it comes from (often a new plugin or a page someone added), and how to fix it. We can make the fix, or you can hand it to your developer.
