Services

Get accessible. Stay accessible.

Every engagement starts with a baseline audit, so you know exactly where you stand. From there we fix what's wrong and keep checking as your site changes.

Step one

Audit and remediation

For a site that needs to get to a good place, with proof that it did.

  • Baseline audit of every page in scope, at desktop and phone sizes, including open menus, moved carousels and submitted forms.
  • Testing by a person: keyboard only, the NVDA screen reader, 400% zoom and phone-width reflow, contrast over photos, and every form submitted empty, wrong and right.
  • A fix plan that ties each problem to its source: the page, template, widget or plugin to change, and how to confirm the fix.
  • The fixes themselves, in your theme, templates and content. No overlay widget, nothing added on top.
  • Image descriptions written for each photo and approved by you, not one caption repeated forty times.
  • A before-and-after report (web and tagged PDF) showing what was fixed, what's left and why.

Your approval, every step. Nothing goes live on your site without your sign-off.

Step two

Ongoing monitoring

Websites change every week. New pages, blog posts, products and plugins bring new problems with them. Monitoring catches them while they're small.

Scheduled scans

Monthly or quarterly, on the day you choose. Every scan uses the same pinned engines, so the trend shows real change.

A summary email

After each scan: the index and how it moved, what was fixed, what's new, and the top three things to look at, in plain words.

Your dashboard

Every report, PDF and conformance report in one place, with the index over time and open issues by severity.

Public badge and summary

Optional. A footer badge links to a public page with your latest published results: no fine print, no claims of certification.

Accessibility statement

A statement for your site that says what was tested, when, what's known to be limited and how to report a problem, kept current with each report.

Fixes when you need them

When a scan finds something new, you get the fix plan. We can make the fix, or hand it to your developer.

Once a year

Yearly cleanup

A full re-audit and a round of fixes, once a year, so a fixed site stays fixed.

  • Repeat the full audit, including testing by a person
  • Fix what's built up over the year
  • A fresh report compared with last year's
  • An updated conformance report and accessibility statement

Most clients pair monitoring with a yearly cleanup: scans keep watch through the year, and the cleanup makes sure nothing slips.

Add-ons

For buyers who need more

Procurement

VPAT® conformance report

An Accessibility Conformance Report in the VPAT 2.5 format, WCAG or Section 508 edition, for government and enterprise buyers.

Standards

Your standard, not ours

WCAG 2.2 AA by default. WCAG 2.1 AA, 2.0 AA or Section 508 when a contract calls for it; the report and the index follow.

Agencies

Reports for your clients

Build and host sites for others? Audsey can run across your client list, with each client seeing only their own sites.

Pricing

Priced to your site, quoted up front

The work depends on how many pages and templates you have, how the site is built and how much content needs attention. Tell us about your site and we'll send a fixed quote for the audit and fixes, and a monthly or yearly price for monitoring.
