Accessibility statement
We hold our own websites to the standard we hold our clients to.
Our goal
audsey.com and the Audsey portal at app.audsey.com aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and to work with a keyboard, with screen readers, at 400% zoom and on phones.
How we test
We test both sites with Audsey itself: the axe-core and IBM Equal Access engines, our own checks and the browser's accessibility tree, in light and dark mode for the portal, plus keyboard and screen reader testing by a person. Both sites are re-tested before each significant change goes live.
What we've done
- Every page has a skip link, landmarks, one main heading and a logical heading order.
- Text and controls meet WCAG contrast minimums; focus is always visible.
- Charts in the portal have a table or text equivalent, and color is never the only way to tell things apart.
- Forms have visible labels, say which fields are required, and explain errors next to the field.
- Animations are decorative and stop when you've asked your system to reduce motion.
- No overlay widgets.
Known limitations
- Reports in the portal are tested before release, but older report PDFs may not have every improvement made since.
- Photos on audsey.com are illustrative, generated for this site, and described in their alt text.
Report a problem
If something on either site doesn't work for you, please tell us through the contact form, choosing "Something else," and say which page and what happened. If the form itself is the problem, ask anyone at Site Hatchery by your usual channel. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to fix problems as fast as we'd ask of our clients.
